Random pics….

Fun with a box of mac-n-cheese.  Seriously, why do we ever buy toys? What’s funny is that he won’t even eat macaroni and cheese. He just wants to play with boxes of it and would really like to dump it out so he could dig it up with his loader.

For some reason, this is one of my most favorite pictures.  I think because this is just TOTALLY Malakai.  He could stand there and dig in that dirt for hours! He was all sweaty and dirty (can’t tell from the pic) and smelled just like a total boy!! I love how he sticks out his stomach too…cracks me up!

More to come from this trip…

Kai’s John Deere Tractor Party

So Kai’s tractor birthday party has come and gone and I have to admit, I am a little sad.  It was such a great party, and not because of anything except the pure joy and excitement on my little man’s face.  He had so much fun, but boy was he exhausted!  I never realized how much fun a kid’s birthday party could be until I had my own child and got to experience it from a parent’s point of view.  Knowing your child feels so special and that this day was all for him and getting to play a huge part in that is humbling.  Thank you so much to everyone who came! Hopefully you all had a great time as well and enjoyed some good food (my dad makes the best hamburgers!).  We appreciated it so much and are so thankful for each and every one of you!

This is the awesome front end loader that Mike Martin of the Rodman Construction area off of FM 2931, was so gracious to bring over for the party.  (Everyone should go buy dirt and mulch and landscape stone from this guy by the way!) This guy was amazing…had the thing detailed for the party and it was incredible. It was HUGE too…the pictures don’t do it justice.

He wouldn’t take a dime for it either and he sacrificed part of his Saturday to drive it over and back.  He has no idea what a blessing it was to us.  Malakai was in total awe. It was priceless.

Someone should have told the pregnant lady not to wear horizontal stripes when you’re 35 weeks pregnant.

Oh, how he loved that thing!  It’s funny how when your kids love something so much it makes you love it too! I wanted to keep that loader!! I thought it was awesome!

Our attempt to get a group shot in the scoop! This was the best one if that tells you anything.  We couldn’t keep them all sitting or looking at once, go figure!

Ok, so I went nuts over this cake! I LOVED it! Maybe more than Malakai did…however, he did go pretty crazy over it! Heather Hancock made this and she did a seriously amazing job!  She is super talented at what she does.  Everyone should order a cake from her for your next special occasion….click on her name to check out some of her other cakes.

This was the best part of the entire day.  We were singing “Happy Birthday” to him here and when he heard his name, he got the biggest smile on his face and looked at his Daddy as if to say, “Daddy, they said my name!” It was one of those priceless moments.  He realized it was his turn for a birthday and his tractor birthday (that we had been talking about for months) was finally here!! The look on his face said that at that moment, he felt special, and it made all the presents, the cake, the huge loader, etc. pale in comparison to that little moment.

Happy Birthday to my sweet little boy!

Two years ago today I got to hold my precious baby boy for the first time.  Words can absolutely never come close to describing that moment.  I can’t even find words to express the amount of joy that he’s brought to our lives in only two years.  Life is just not the same anymore. We don’t look at things the same as we did before him.  It is just truly amazing the amount of love you have for your child.  It will take your breath away and fill you up with so much love you think you will explode!  He is truly a blessing and when I think back to the couple of years that we struggled to get pregnant, I just smile thinking that all along God had Malakai Nicholas Krieger already in his design and plan for us and He was just wanting us to be patient.  It’s really amazing how the Lord works things out in His time.  He has truly created Malakai so unique and special.  I could describe his personality and all of his likes and dislikes and funny things he says, etc. but I wouldn’t know where to stop!  Happy 2nd Birthday my sweet little John Deere tractor boy!! Your mommy loves you more than words can express!
