Just for fun….

Just thought I’d post these sweet pictures from the other day.  The facial expressions in these pics are just totally him!  I love my little man! : )

The Poe Fam–Matt, Brittney, and Quinn

To say this family is cute is a complete understatement.  Not only are they cute, they’ve got style! (I wish they could share some of that with me!) I had a really great time shooting their family pictures. Quinn did great and is totally adorable!  I loved watching him point at the trucks and cars and how much he loves his little football—reminded me of my little guy! : )

Brittney, I know you’ve been waiting patiently for these pictures, so I hope they are worth the wait! Thank you guys for letting me do this for you! I had a blast and it was great to reconnect a little as well! Truly, you guys are pure joy!

Love at first sight

I don’t know which I could say he loves more….cows or tractors….they might be nearly equal, but this was the first time he’s seen either one so close.  He spotted the tractor as we were pulling into the Pumpkin Farm and immediately got excited! Then he spotted the cows and I truly think he may have thought he was in heaven.  This was better than any playground or Sea World trip….even better than airplanes or Pirate’s Booty (his favorite snack)!  It was a shame that I brought him so close to naptime…I’m sure he could have run around out there for hours…we may have to go back.  He looks like such a rugged little boy to me in these pictures…not to mention that he needs a haircut.  (By the way, I gave him his first haircut today after seeing his fro in these pics and I had to cut off a little bit of those curls and I really did tear up! I need to get a grip!) Anyways, he also fell face forward in the dirt while running and it was all my fault! I grabbed him as he was running to take his jacket off, and splat—hard. I felt awful. Bad Mama!  He got a mouthful and noseful of dirt and scratched his nose, bit his lip, and got a large red knot on his forehead.

Can I get an “AMEN!?!?”

an exerpt from a book I’m reading on parenting the toddler years:

“During the one-year span between 12 and 24 months, the walking, talking, exploring toddler multiplies the demands of mother’s time, energy and patience more than any other period of his life……if left unhindered by moral and safety concerns, this little person can empty a book shelf in minutes, connect with Hong Kong on Dad’s cell phone, drink from the bird-bath, splash little hands in the toilet, drain the last sips of leftover beverages, flee the kitchen with a table knife, or take a nap in the dog-house–which after all else would be a positive thing.

Ah yes, the mobile toddler.  There is no question that a toddler’s mom is a tired mom, and for good reason.  The emotional and physical energy needed to supervise an energy-packed tot can take down the most physically fit mom.  If your toddler happens to be a boy, add fifty percent more energy.  Never so beautiful does this child look to his weary mom as he does when he closes his eyes in sleep.”

: )   amen!  (although I still think he’s adorable even when he absolutely wears me out!)

What is wrong with my blog!!???

Is it just my computer, or is my bio pic and paragraph cut off at the top and blending in with the flash header???

Anyone know what the heck is wrong with it????

Both spots are filled! Thanks everyone!

I had originally decided not to do Christmas cards this year because of a busy winter wedding season, but I’ve had several people ask, so I decided to come up with an alternative plan! On Saturday, November 8th, I am blocking off three hours 9:00am—12:00 and will be booking families for mini-portrait sessions.  Each family will have a 15-20 minute shoot and the location is still TBD.  I had originally intended to keep it at 10 families minimum, but all spots filled up pretty quickly, so I decided to open up 2 additional spots.  The cost is $50 and all proceeds go towards blessing a family or families in need during the Christmas season.  I will take the first 2 people that email me (info@mallorykriegerphotography.com) or post a comment….whichever comes first! Oh–I almost forgot–you also will get the DVD of all final images so you can print from them or order cards from wherever you want….however….. Angie West, owner of Cherry Hill Designs, and also a close friend of mine will be there with a few holiday card samples to choose from if you decide to go ahead and place your Christmas card order.  I would suggest using Angie : )   Check out her website: www.cherryhilldesigns.com

Karlee & Danny {wedding}

I couldn’t believe that Karlee and Danny would be celebrating their 10-year anniversary a week after their wedding.  Yes, you heard me right, they have been together for 10 years–since middle school!  I haven’t even known my husband that long and we’ve been married for almost 7 years! I think it’s 7…..???!!!  Anyways, these two are so in love and that’s what is so special about them.  Even after 10 years, Danny had tears in his eyes as his beautiful bride walked down the aisle to him and Karlee was emotional throughout the ceremony as they exchanged their rings and said their vows.  It was precious. The photography was super important to both of them and I loved that they had planned for 30-45 minutes of alone time with me after the ceremony so we could get some priceless shots of them right after the wedding.  The timing was perfect and we were blessed with some great lighting as the sun was setting over the lake.

Thank you guys so much for choosing me as your photographer! It was an honor to share these moments with you, and I am truly blessed to have had the priveledge to get to know both of you.  I completely adore you both and am so excited for you as you begin your new life as husband and wife!

You have got to be kidding me!

wow. what do you say about this? it was a gift from my mom–thank you , Mom.  He loves it by the way, which is wonderful when you’re in public and he throws a fit b/c he wants his gigantic pacy.  it’s a “teething pacifier”….I don’t really care what it is, it’s quite embarrassing! : )
